Attorney Lourdes Maria Casanova was one of four members of a diverse panel chosen by the Palm Beach County Bar Association for a discussion titled, “The Art of Cross Examinations,” a live webinar for the Young Lawyers Section Sidebar Series. Casanova, a criminal defense and immigration attorney, presented on the topics of preparing to cross examine a witness, tackling expert witnesses, preparing your own witness for cross examination, and how to be the most effective cross examiner. Other members of the panel included a corporate attorney, a personal injury attorney, and a circuit court judge.
Casanova has been an attorney in Palm Beach County for almost 8 years. She is a former prosecutor for the 15th Judicial Circuit and an advocate of immigrant rights. Casanova was raised in Royal Palm Beach, Florida and is the daughter of Cuban immigrants.
